DAVID PIJOR

David Pijor is the founder and lead organizer of the Bank, which opened its doors on November 27, 2007.  FVCbank is a $2 billion commercial bank which serves small to mid-sized business and commercial clients within its various geographic markets and focuses on providing credit and cash management products to government contractors, not for profit organizations and professional service firms, among other industry segments.

Prior to the organization of FVCbank, Mr. Pijor was the lead organizer of James Monroe Bank. From June 8, 1998, until its sale to Mercantile Bankshares in May 2006, David served as the Chairman of its Board of Directors and General Counsel and, along with its President, guided its meteoric growth.  During that eight-year period, the Bank generated total returns of over 10x to its initial shareholders. David was instrumental in leading the effort to successfully sell the bank in 2006.

Prior to assuming the role of CEO of FVCbank, Mr. Pijor was a practicing attorney with offices in Fairfax, Virginia. During his 30-plus years in practice, David focused on business law and transactions with an emphasis on taxation. He also developed an estate and tax planning practice. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Economics with High Distinction and Georgetown University Law Center with a Juris Doctor degree.
