His specializations include International Investigations, Financial Crime, and Advisory. Ryan exhibits strong industry expertise by leveraging a data-driven approach to lead end-to- end client projects, from directing intelligence fact-finding, analysis, to managing multi- jurisdictional, bet-the-company investigations. To date, Ryan has successfully advised Counsel to litigate and settle 12+ fraud or litigation investigations with loss or impact exceeding USD $1 billion.
As a sought-after industry expert, Ryan maintains industry-leading professional credentials and memberships including Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Anti-Money-Laundering- Specialist (CAMS-FCI); is a former Global Executive Board Member of the Council of International Investigators, member of the NYPD's SHIELD Program, US Department of State Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC), and FBI’s InfraGard National Capital Region (InfraGard).
Prior to joining Colley Intelligence, Ryan worked for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in Washington, D.C., and on Capitol Hill. In addition, he enjoys giving back to the intelligence community; Ryan is currently a Startup Advisor and Mentor for 1776 and Newchip Accelerator, two D.C. area organizations, where he advises startup Founders regarding financial, reputation management, and legal risk. Colley earned his B.A. in Classics, with a minor in Russian Studies from the College of Charleston in 2009. He resides in Washington, DC with his family, and in his spare time is an avid skier.
