Steve Kuhn, CEO of MG Moving Services with headquarters in Sterling, VA. And company owned and managed locations in Richmond, VA, Lynchburg, VA and Pompano Beach, FL. As a recognized leader in the moving industry, especially as a pioneer with the largest Independent Movers in the country, Steve spent 30 years as the Executive Vice President of JK Moving Services. Steve also started CapRelo in 1996, as the corporate relocation arm of JK Moving Services to support their growth in the Corporate Relocation sector. In 2001 Steve started the Commercial Division at JK and grew it to be the largest Commercial Mover in Washington, DC where he retired in 2009. In 2012, Steve began his 9-year run with Able Moving & Storage, Inc. where he retired as the CEO in 2021.

Today, Steve stands as the CEO of MG Moving Services, where he is in the process of changing the brand from My Guys Moving & Storage, has converted the franchise locations into company owned, has started a Commercial Division, and a Move Management arm to support their explosive growth. Steve also holds a Board position with NexMuv in Oklahoma City, OK and is the acting COO.

HISTORY
Steve took it upon himself to fully learn all aspects of the business and the industry. He began with a training program where he earned his Commercial Driver’s License, and pioneered the interstate moving portion of the business, building process and controls to enhance these services for JK going forward. He became a Certified Moving Consultant through the industry’s association, held this certification for over a decade and personally built the most effective and fastest growing sales teams ever known. Steve continued his studies in Corporate Sales Training with industry experts to learn these different features, while building the infrastructure needed to support their vision of providing a superior service. This led to development in being a relocation expert, facilities specialist and one of the most sought-after logistics experts across the globe. These steps were then fulfilled by employing the highest caliber personnel, rewarding the most aggressive with unmatched career path opportunities, incorporating leading-edge service & technology, building comprehensive service training techniques and supplying an unparalleled level of customer service.

As the Executive Vice President, Steve Kuhn successfully established and managed the marketing & sales teams, administration, operations and facilities to support for 5 primary divisions of industry experts, generating, servicing and managing over $60M of revenue production annually. This is done while providing service levels for clients that have become the ultimate standard for others to strive for. The company’s professional staff manages projects at all levels including private moves, corporate relocation services, policy development, real estate, market analysis & due diligence, commercial relocations and comprehensive government support services. Steve has years of service with the International Facility Managers Association, the Society of Human Resource Management, Washington D.C. Board of Trade, the Employee Relocation Council and Profit Enhancement Group. Steve also sits on the Board of Directors for the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce and for the Katelyn Hall Foundation. Supports the March of Dimes National Capital Area Chapter, Fight for Children, the Key Center School, Fauquier County Food Distribution Coalition, Habitat for Humanity, and the Fisher House.

Throughout the years, Kuhn has earned numerous honors and awards, including being selected for his presentation, background and skills to host the President of the United States for his economic presence, the 2006 Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year Award, and nominated for the 2008 Innovator of the Year award for his positive environmental accomplishment for www.reusedc.org .
